I just got a phonecall from my mom. My grandmother (on my dad's side, not the one who lives with us) passed away sometime during the night. She was scheduled to have some work done today to see why she was so tired and weak.

Between this and the death of Jon, I'm really feeling the impact of death. In Econ this morning Prof. Vander Plaats spoke for 20 minutes about death, due to Jon. It's really settling in now.

I'll be home for the funeral. It depends when the relatives from California can make it back. Probably on Tuesday or Wednesday.
